Project Overview

The customer is the world's fourth largest express company, in order to ensure the rapid circulation of the transit area and reduce costs, the company plans to introduce automation and unmanned equipment in Qingyuan and Wenzhou distribution centers to innovate the service operation model. For example, in the East China sorting express transit yard, unmanned forklifts are used to realize the automatic handling of pallets/cages from the NC piece sorting area to the loading area, so as to achieve safe and efficient transportation and save the input of forklift drivers.

Solution

According to the requirements of cargo carriers and load parameters, AGV deploys dozens of "small jacks" upgraded V20TB (pedal) handling unmanned forklifts and a logistics solution composed of a 2.0-day pivot dispatching system for customers, and the unmanned forklifts will send the shelves to the workstation in an orderly manner under the distribution of the call box task, and then send the shelves back to the sorting area after the goods are unloaded, which greatly improves the efficiency of warehouse management.

The distribution center introduces unmanned forklifts to further optimize the warehousing and distribution process, expand the intelligent and unmanned scenarios of the industry, and improve operational efficiency. Unmanned forklifts can automatically complete cargo handling tasks, reduce manual intervention, and reduce the labor intensity of employees. The advanced obstacle avoidance technology adopted by the unmanned forklift can effectively avoid collision accidents during operation and protect the safety of personnel and express mail.

Technical Highlights

1、Pallet angle adaptive

Due to the problem of angle tilt deviation of the pallet in the pick-up area, AGV judges the accurate position of the fork hole of the pallet through the end secondary positioning technology, and the unmanned forklift adjusts the fork picking attitude in real time according to the deviation angle to achieve accurate forklifting.

2、Detection of low obstacles on the ground

During the operation of the unmanned forklift, there is a risk of falling low obstacles on the ground, and the AGV unmanned forklift obstacle avoidance module can detect the items with a height of ≥80mm on the ground within the range of 180° in front of the unmanned forklift in real time, and make actions such as waiting, stopping, and alarming.

3、Position status monitoring in the release area

In order to accurately determine the location of the goods, the unmanned forklift is equipped with a cargo location status monitoring device, and a cargo sensor is installed in the hoarding area, and the empty state of the storage location is automatically judged through the sensor;

The successful implementation of the project has brought significant results to the optimization of the operation process of the logistics sorting link of the enterprise and the improvement of the efficiency and accuracy of the sorting operation. Unmanned forklifts are used for automated transportation in parcel warehousing, sorting, delivery temporary storage, item storage and other links, further achieving higher logistics efficiency and faster express parcel speed.
