Customer needs

With the continuous acceleration of the production rhythm of the manufacturing industry, higher requirements are put forward for the accurate supply of materials and efficient warehouse management. The traditional line-side logistics model has many pain points: the manual operation efficiency is low, and it is difficult to meet the high-frequency material storage demand; Manual handling is prone to errors, which affects the continuity and accuracy of production; At the same time, the storage space is not fully utilized, resulting in a waste of resources. In order to improve the overall logistics efficiency and reduce operating costs, enterprises need a set of intelligent solutions to realize the automatic warehousing and efficient connection with the cache library of line-side logistics, so as to optimize the entire supply chain process.

Transformation difficulties

The navigation environment is open, and it needs to be docked with the stacker crane and conveyor line, and the accuracy of picking/unloading at the end is high.

Solution

In the first phase of the project, four unmanned forklifts were introduced as the core tools for material transportation. Unmanned forklifts have a high degree of automation and intelligence, and can accurately complete the task of handling materials. At the same time, AGVS (dispatching system) and WCS (warehouse control system) have been introduced. AGVS is responsible for the global scheduling of unmanned forklifts, reasonably arranging their operation paths and task assignments, and ensuring that forklifts work efficiently and collaboratively. WCS controls and manages the operation process of the entire warehouse to achieve the optimal allocation of warehouse resources.

1. Automatic warehousing

When the materials need to be put into storage, the unmanned forklift goes to the designated place to pick up the materials according to the scheduling instructions of the AGVS. Subsequently, the material is transported to the conveyor line, and after the material handover is completed, the unmanned forklift feeds back the task completion to the system. Then, according to the instructions of WCS, the hoist automatically lifts the goods on the conveyor line and automatically puts them into the warehouse according to the predetermined location information. The entire process requires no manual intervention, and the operation from material extraction to warehousing is fully automated.

2、自动出

When the material is out of the warehouse, the WCS system generates an outbound instruction based on the production demand, and the hoist takes the specified goods out of the storage location and transports them to the conveyor line according to the instructions. The unmanned forklift received the dispatch instruction from AGVS again, went to the conveyor line to pick up the goods, and transported the materials to the designated position at the side of the line as required to complete the outbound process.
