The company is a joint venture established by Great Wall and BMW, and its business scope is engaged in the research and development, production and export sales of internal combustion engine vehicles.

Project Background

On-site manual handling is difficult to achieve the accuracy of tooling fit, and the process beat of the entire line body cannot be completed. Therefore, the forklift AGV automatic handling system, inventory management system, and control software are introduced to connect with the PLC of the line body to realize the automatic handling of the material rack.

Difficulty

Hood handling and loading and unloading require the forklift AGV to accurately place the carrier on the unloading platform and dock with the manipulator

3. The available passage on site is narrow

Conventional forklift AGVs cannot complete the pick-and-release operation on site. Based on this working condition, the omnidirectional forklift AGV with smaller channel requirements is optional, with a rated load of 1000kg and a stacking height of 6m, so as to realize omnidirectional driving in the channel of 2.5m to pick up and release goods.

Solution

According to the special process scene of the site, the handling vehicle is circulated at the four loading and unloading points of A/B/C/D. A→B, C → D, D → A (B→C is the conveyor line body), the model needs to increase the D → storage area, and the storage area → A. The storage area requires 20 locations to store the replacement racks.

AGV plans a number of omnidirectional forklift AGVs to complete the automatic handling of materials, the model is based on the natural contour of laser SLAM positioning and navigation technology, the end accuracy can reach ±5mm positioning accuracy in the dynamic environment, and 5 omnidirectional forklift AGVs complete the handling process of carrying the hood from the production line into the oven for baking, and after baking, it is transported to the production line for loading. (If the production line is followed by the hood model, the forklift AGV needs to automatically replace the flow rack)
